Lung Cancer Screening

Lung cancer is one of the most common and serious types of cancer—but early detection can make a big difference.

🫁 What is it?
A Targeted Lung Health Check is offered to people aged 55 to 74 who smoke or used to smoke.
The check may include a low-dose CT scan to spot signs of lung cancer early—often before symptoms appear.

✅ Why it matters:
Catching lung cancer early improves the chances of successful treatment.

📬 How will I be invited?
If you’re eligible, the NHS will contact you to arrange a check.
